The Gap Map
What is the 24-Hour Gap Map?
A free diagnostic. Your kid does a 45-minute session with a live AP tutor. Within 24 hours, you get one page about the last test: where the points went, the score it could have been, and a dated plan for the next test, with the marked test.
No test at home?
That's common. Tests often stay at school. Tell us in one line what happened, and the session's timed set from that unit does the rest.
Do I need to be there?
No. The session is just your kid and the tutor. The short call afterward is just you.
Is the session recorded?
Yes, so the tutor's findings go into the report word for word. Want the recording? Just ask.
Is it really free? What's the catch?
Free, with no card and no enrollment. On the call, if you want to hear it, we'll tell you what we'd do about it and the price. You keep the page either way.
How fast do you reply after the form?
Within 30 minutes during 1–10pm ET, Monday to Saturday. Outside those hours, by 2pm ET the next working day. We message you on WhatsApp with two times for the session.
The program
What's in the A-to-5 Track?
Two private 50-minute sessions a week with the same AP tutor, on your kid's own class. Every written answer graded by the next day. A live AP tutor online 9–10pm ET, Monday to Saturday. A WhatsApp line for photos of stuck problems, answered with a walkthrough or a step-by-step guide. A short mock before every test, an extra session before a test when we think your kid needs one, and full mocks in December and March. Five lines on your phone every Sunday, and one person for everything that isn't the teaching.
Does online tutoring work for a 16-year-old?
It works when it's 1-on-1, on exam-style problems, with your kid doing the work, and when you can see it. Every session is recorded.
The Gap Map comes first, free, so you can judge the method on your own kid. Then you have 14 days to see it from the inside.
How much of my kid's week does it take?
Two 50-minute sessions and short timed practice sets. The Night Room is optional. It's meant to replace the hours that weren't working, not add to them.
Does the tutor know my kid's class?
The sessions follow your kid's own class: the teacher's syllabus and every test that comes home. We get ready for that teacher's next test, not a textbook's.
What if my kid won't engage?
Most kids engage once they hear what they already do right, and once they're the one holding the pen. The sessions are built that way on purpose.
If your kid isn't engaging by day 7, we tell you first, inside the 14-day refund window.
Which subjects and grades?
AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics (1, 2 and C) and AP Calculus (AB and BC), for students in grades 10–12.
Tutors
Who are the tutors?
AP tutors who passed our grading test: their grading has to match the College Board's official scoring guidelines at least 90% of the time. We sell the standard, not a name.
Will my kid have the same tutor?
Yes, for the two private sessions. The Night Room is a shared room, and almost every night it's the same tutor in there too.
Can we change tutors?
If the fit feels wrong, tell your Family Success Manager, and we'll fix it.
Do you do the homework?
No. Never. In the Night Room, the tutor asks questions until your kid finds the step. On the Stuck Line, our walkthrough or step-by-step guide shows the method on that step, then your kid finishes the problem.
Results and guarantees
How fast will we see anything?
The one-page map, within 24 hours of the diagnostic. The first graded written answer, by day 7. The first Sunday report, the first Sunday after the first session.
What are the guarantees?
Next test higher, or we work free. 14 days to see it from the inside. A 4 or 5 in May, or every payment from January comes back.
Every condition is on the program page. Read them in full
What if the teacher grades unfairly?
The next-test guarantee measures your kid against their own last test. If it isn't higher, we keep working free until the next one. And in May, the written answers are scored by the College Board's readers, not by the teacher.
Price and billing
What does it cost?
The Gap Map is free. The A-to-5 Track is $697 a month per subject, our rate for families who join this fall. A second AP subject in the same family is $497 a month. There is no hourly price.
Is there a contract? How do we cancel?
No contract. It's month to month: tell us before the next billing date, and you aren't charged again.
How do refunds work?
In the first 14 days, one message gets you a full refund for any reason. We send it within 48 hours. Your bank may take a few business days to show it.
Is there a discount?
No. Not for anyone. Every family pays the published price. That's why it's published.
How do we pay?
Monthly, by bank transfer (ACH). Your invoice comes by email, and your receipt within one business day.
A second subject, or a brother or sister?
A second AP subject in the same family is $497 a month, for the same student or for a brother or sister. Their Gap Map is free, and we'll tell you honestly if they need anything at all.
Scheduling
When are sessions?
Between 3pm and 10pm ET, on a fixed pair of days: Mon/Thu, Tue/Fri or Wed/Sat. Same time every week.
What if my kid has to miss a session?
Tell your Family Success Manager at least 24 hours ahead, and we'll move it to another day that week or the next. Each family can move up to two sessions a month.
Can we pause?
Yes. While you're away, you keep the same tutor and time slot for 25% of the monthly fee.
Are you open on Sundays?
No. Sunday is off for everyone. Stuck Line messages sent on a Sunday are answered first thing Monday.
Privacy and recordings
Who sees the recordings?
Your family, through your account, and our team. We don't share them with anyone else.
Do you sell our information?
No. Never. Our privacy policy says what we collect and why.
