Privacy policy
The short version: we collect what we need to teach your kid and run the academy. We never sell it. You can ask us to delete it.
Who we are
Elevara Learning (“we,” “us”) is an online 1-on-1 academy for AP Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Calculus. This policy covers elevaralearning.com, our forms, our messages with you, and the program.
What we collect
When you ask for a Gap Map
- Your name, email and phone number, and whether the number is on WhatsApp.
- Your kid's AP subject and grade, and what happened on the last test.
- How you found us, the page you were on, and which button brought you to the form.
- If you send it, a photo of a graded test.
When you join
- The student's name, school, class and teacher, test dates, and notes that help us teach.
- What we need to invoice you.
During the program
- Session recordings, graded work, Sunday reports, and our messages with you.
When you visit the website
- Page views, through Google Analytics and the Meta pixel. See Cookies and analytics.
How we use it
- To book the Gap Map, write the report, and talk with you about it.
- To teach, grade and report on your kid's progress.
- To send the messages you asked for, and to bill you.
- To understand how people find us and to improve the site.
We never sell your information, and we don't use it for anything you didn't sign up for.
Recordings
Sessions are recorded, so your family can watch them in your account and our tutors can review their teaching. Recordings aren't public: we share them only with your family, through your account, and with our team.
The Gap Map session is recorded so the tutor's findings go into the report word for word. You can ask us for a copy.
You can ask us not to record. We'll keep the graded work and written notes instead.
Who helps us run the academy
We use a few service providers, only to do the work described here:
- Forms: Tally.
- Records and email: Google Workspace.
- Team notifications: Slack.
- Messages with you: WhatsApp.
- Live sessions: Zoom.
- The family portal and its recordings: our portal and video hosting providers.
- Website hosting: Hostinger.
- Website analytics: Google Analytics and Meta.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
On our content pages, the Meta pixel records that a page was viewed, so we can measure and show our ads. It doesn't record what you type into a form. Google Analytics counts visits to every page. Both use cookies.
The thank-you page, this page and the terms send nothing to Meta. You can block cookies in your browser's settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
Children's privacy
Our students are high school students. We collect information about a student from their parent or guardian, who signs up and agrees to this policy. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep what we collect and record, including session recordings, for as long as we need it to teach your kid and keep our records.
If you want something deleted, email or WhatsApp us, and we'll delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it. Some copies can stay in our backups for a while before they're cleared.
Your choices
- Ask to see, correct or delete your information.
- Stop messages from us.
- Ask us not to record sessions.
Email info@elevaralearning.com or message us on WhatsApp. Depending on where you live, for example California, state law may give you more rights. We honor them.
Security
Only the people who need your information can see it. Our accounts are password-protected, with two-step sign-in where it's offered, and recordings are never made public.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters to enrolled families, we'll tell them by email.
